STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's women's tennis team takes the court for the final time this fall season at the Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla.
This weekend's tournament is slated to begin Friday with two rounds of doubles and one singles round. The tournament, which features three doubles draws and six singles draws, consists of elite teams from in and around the state of Florida. Mississippi State will join Alabama as the lone teams from the Southeastern Conference.
So far this fall season, MSU has seen strong performances from veterans and newcomers. Senior Valeriya Makarycheva and sophomore Olesya Tsigvintseva are both coming off a good weekend at the ITA Southern Indoor Championships. In that tournament, both State players made it to day two with dominating performances in the first round.
The Seminole Invitational is scheduled to last through Sunday.
