STARKVILLE, Miss. - Freshman Ben Bracewell singled in two runs in the second inning and Jet Butler delivered a two-run double an inning later Saturday afternoon to lift the Maroon team to a 7-2 win over the Gray squad and a 2-1 advantage in the five-game MSU Fall World Series at Dudy Noble Field.

The Grays took a brief 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning on Luke Bole's RBI double. But Maroon sophomore starter Caleb Reed worked around a bases-loaded jam before leaving the game in the fourth and freshman Kendalll Graveman allowed just one run over the final three frames to preserve the win.
