STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State closes out fall practice Tuesday afternoon at Dudy Noble Field with the deciding fifth game of the 2009 MSU Fall World Series. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. and the game, scheduled to go seven innings, is open to the public with no charge for admission. The Gray team overcame a 6-0 deficit Sunday afternoon, plating five runs in the sixth inning to even the series with a 9-8 decision.

The Gray team is expected to start either Luke Bole of Hartselle, Ala., or C.C. Watson of Heflin, Ala., both freshmen southpaws, while the Maroons will open with a rookie right-hander on the mound, either Chris Stratton of Tupelo, Miss., or Ben Bracewell Chelsea, Ala.

MSU launches its 56-game 2010 schedule and a season-opening 13-game home stand Feb. 19-21 hosting Rhode Island in a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field.
