STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State University placed a school-record 50 first-year student-athletes on the 2010 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll released Monday by the league office. The 50 selections top the conference in MSU-sponsored sports.

State topped the 12 sports on the list which is based on grades from the 2009-10 academic year. A total of 547 freshmen around the league were named to the honor roll.
